Default Sport Compacts Top 100 cars-Good laugh

Funny that out of the top 100 sport compacts of all time not a single 944 or 951 made the list. Our cars are not worthy! You should really check out some of the cars that were picked. No wonder I stopped reading that mag 3 years ago, what a waste of good trees.

All I know is that Top Gear rated the 944 Turbo the 36th best car of all time! I deifintely trust Top Gear more than Sports Compact Car or whatever it is.

I don't know if Top Gear in US is the same as Top Gear in UK but if it is Jeremy Clarkson rates 944 one of his favourite drives of all time. He currently drives a SL55AMG and is about to take deivery of one of the new Ford GT40's. He knows a good car!!!

Does that mag feature a guy called Quentin Wilson?
He used to be a car dealer and got caught for clocking cars (reducing milages on odometers)many years ago. He was known as Clocker Wilson!!!!

That's because the 944/951 are not actually Sport Compacts. They are true sports cars. So-called "Sport Compacts" are merely glorified econoboxes.

Was the Ford focus mentioned? If so, I don't want to see the 951 on the same list......

The 944 Turbo was also Top Gear test driver (not Jermy Jackson, i think it's Tim Neddle or something), anyway it was HIS favouriate car of the 80's

Tiff is his name. And I wish Speedvision would carry it as well.

Speaking of; I thought 5th Gear is supposed to be an hour show. If so, why is speed advertising 2 shows back to back in a 1 hour time slot?

for the record, the base civic came in 2nd after the evo 8 (a car I shut down a few weeks ago)
they included the skyline and supra tt as sport compact, so the term was used lightly).

no Porsche was mentioned
