Question Venuri delete/bypass

The plastic Y tube under the intake is loose/broken etc. and causing a vac leak. I can push it in with a screwdriver and iot is ok, unless I get on boost.

Is it possible to by pass, plug up the hose, etc without doing the whole venturi delete?? And if so, can I do this without pulling the intake??

My brake booster is bad so my mech said I can just by pass this, but I don;t know if he meant by the full delete kit or just unplugging the hose/Y pipe and putting a cap on it.

Just suck it up, drop the 100 bucks and about 3 hours of your time and swap it all. Trust me, if one hose/fitting is bad...there are more.

Oh vey easy, once you have done it, it takes about 10-15 minutes. I think about 25-30 my first time. Hardest part of it never been removed, is getting the allen head bolts woke up good. I would use the procedure on clarks-garage.com shop manual.

Oh and i would give yourself about 3 hours to complete the job.

This may help: Only revision is that when i wrote this, lindsey sent me just 1/2" purosil hose to run from the brake booster to the intake. Now there is an updated black porsche hose that is formed...get that one, it is much better. You just have to make a cut to insert the T on the firewall.
