Default 88 944 28 pin ECU chip??

I have a 1988 944 turbo, and I've recently been struggling with an auto authority chip retailer, we're trying to find a set of chips that will fit my car. I opened up my ECU and noticed that I need a 28 pin chip. My KLR is a 24 pin. All of the chipsets that he has for 88 turbos are 24 pin ECUs, and the 88-89 turbo S chips are 28 pin. However, he checked my ECU number and I do not have a 944 turbo "S". Does anyone know what kind of chips I can use?I was thinking just getting a set of the 88-89 turbo S chips but I'd like to be certain.
thanks

If its a 28 pin DME and a 24 pin KLR I may be very interested. also, are there any other modifications necessary to make these chips work (wastegate shims, any other upgrades?)
thanks

MY1988 has a 28-pin DME for the 951 and 951S. The DME chip you need is for the K26/6 28-pin... (assuming you do not have a 951S). APE should have both 951 and 951S 28-pin DME chips, make sure your vendor gets you the correct chipset...
