Default Would 89 951 sways be an upgrade for an 86?

I am likely going to buy this car that has had 89 turbo sways installed on it with new suspension and control arms and was wondering if its a step up from the standard 86 issue.

Here is a site with a listing of suspension parts for the different years of the 951. And yes, the '89 Turbo (M030 Turbo S spec) suspension is a step up from the '86 Turbo stock suspension.

Front sway bar is always bigger on an '89 than an '86. Rear bar is either the same size (18 mm) or smaller (16 mm.) I would expect that this car would have the 26.8 mm front/18 mm sway bars, which are is definite upgrade from stock 1986 (22.5 mm solid or 24 mm hollow front, 18 mm rear), but not as good as 968 M030 bars (30 mm front, 19 mm adjustable rear.)
