if that is your only suspension mod, it may cause a little more understeer.

Well, I think that a strut brace should come after you have a proper strut/spring and swaybar setup. They make a lot less difference in handling compared to the others. But there isn't even a correct strut brace for our cars anyway. The only ones I've seen for our cars (I have the Brey-Krause installed by the PO) attach to the top of the strut towers, which effectively turns the front suspension into a parallelogram, causing the top to flex in unison, instead of preventing flex. A correct strut bar, like ones for 911's, is triangulated to prevent flex. But our cars don't have room for that design. Even so, a strut brace does help over no strut brace.

I would say, save your money for sturts/springs and swaybars and then do the strut brace last. I think the biggest improvement that can be felt with a strut brace is for turn-in response on a race track. For the street? Save your money.

For looks only imo, unless you have a pretty hot track car and know how to drive it.

Why do you say that?

if a stb by itself made had any effect on handling at all, most likely it would induce some additional understeer. similar in effect to adding a stiff front sway bar, please correct me if i'm wrong. i thought the reason for adding a stb was to prevent flexing of the body caused by stiffer spring rates and the like.

I totally agree with this. I would consider useless fitting a strut brace if the suspension is not "stiff enough" in the first place.
My car was fitted with a CarGraphic strut brace after some suspension mods/stiffening and the difference is there, although not very perceivable. The steering feels more responsive at high motorway speeds (110 mph +).

I also totally agree with you.

The strut brace should make steering more responsive, which is why I stated that it helps improve turn-in on the race track, among other things.

You have to push the car pretty hard to feel the difference.
It works good with stiffer swaybars

Lindsey Racing write: 'During hard cornering, the stock front shock towers spread apart causing positive camber which reduces handling performance. The Cambermeister eliminates most of this camber change to maintain the optimum tire patch for maximum cornering ability. Bolts in and out easily in just a few minutes. You'll feel the difference immediately.'

Strut braces only aid when comes to hard coernerings. Someone from KLA posted a test done with/without the strut braces on the track (that is why you do not feel any differences on the street i guess)

Here is the price list for the Leda Suspension: http://www.racersedge-inc.com/2004_price_list.htm

I have heard some fitmet issues with the rear dampers/springs for the ledas

Why not try the escort cup : http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchan...e=944SUSESCORT

You can call Lindsey Racing - they know suspension. They even have the ohlins but they are close to $5,000 - thats how much I paid for my car!!!
