Removing oil gallery plugs?
I've been trying to yank it out to really give the block a good cleaning to no avail. I'm just bending the cap. I'm using a home made puller.
Any good tips?
thanks,

Drill a hole in the center of the plug, and tap it on near one side with a punch and hammer. Then grab it with some pliers and roll it out. You could heat the block with a propane torch around the plug as well.

Keith,
Worked great! Thanks!!
Note: Remember how soft alum. is and dont place the punch on the outer lip...unless you want to scratch it up...doesn't seem like a big deal. Also as it pivots around it will bend the alum lip behind it...also doesnt seem like a big deal.

I was at school till late may, and then working 7:30 to 7:30 from june 1st till today... I go back to school aug 28/29 (30 or 31 if necesary to get the car done..)... that is my current deadline to go from bare block to running engine (in the car).

Adrial, are you going back with threaded plugs?

No, I'm reinstalling the plugs. I only removed the 2 25mm plugs. The smaller plug is before the oil filter in flow, so I'm not too worried about that.
To reinstall the plugs, I just press them in... correct?

I have no idea, If you press them in I do know they sould be square to the face of the block. I do know some people have had them blow out. When I did my rebuild, I was going to go with the threaded plugs for that reason. But I ran out of money and just never touched them....

Put some hondabond or similar sealant on them, and hammer them in with a socket or other suitable driver. The depth from the face of the bore to the edge of the plug is specified in the workshop manual. I forget the exact depth, but it is like 1-2mm. Piece of cake.
