i own a workshop and i had one of my staff pull it out, the only assistants he had was working out how to rotate the centre shaft and i was holding the socket on the crank to undo the pressure plate bolts, sorry didnt mean to mislead, when i said i , i meant i as in my workshop.

This is why I use the friggin word knuckleheads, Frank. I said the 931 and 944 clutch is 225mm., man - because the original poster said his friend has a 924 turbo clutch. I know the 951 clutch is bigger, I have about 4 used ones on my shelf.

looks like my newbie status has confused the issue.
question:
can i replace the 240mm clutch in my 951 turbo with the clutch out of a 924 turbo which is 225mm.
i know its not ideal to go down in size, but this is a really nice clutch with a lightened flywheel.

Aus - YOUR CAR IS A turbo!??????????????????????????????????? what the hell, man. Read your first post. "I was wondering if the 924 turbo clutch will fit the 944"? ^#%$*&^)*(&_(*&_(*&^)*^%*^%$#
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! it won't. Next time at least say tubo, or 951, or put something in your signature, man!!!
![hiha](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/roflmao.gif)
Also - DO NOT try to put a 944NA or 931 clutch into a 951. It does not work. Among the reasons why are:
-bellhousing is different, starter bosses are moved over a few thousandths to
account for different ring gear
-you cannot switch said ring gear mechanically(doesn't fit) or electrically
without changing chips, or DME
-turbo pressure plate bolts are shallow head 12 point design so that they will
not scrape the bellhousing. If you put NA pressure plate bolts on a turbo
clutch, you will be taking it off to turn over your motor
-anyone not discouraged yet, please write me for a more complete list
