Default Lindsey MAF

I was checking out the site and the MAF kit seems pretty cheap, 250 for the stage one the 75mm. My question is whats the difference between the first stage and the second?is it just the pipe from the turbo to the MAF and the pipe from the MAF to the filter?

All the other kits i've seen have been 1000+...whats the deal? Anyone have this?feedback/opinions?pros/cons? everything welcome.

correct, it will not work with a stock comp. You must have the mafterburner or the perfect power to control it. But if you choose the mafterburner you must use a wideband O2 sensor. That is another 300+. So it reallly is not cheap. But lindsey breaks it all down and you piece your own kit together.

Stage1 will work with stock computer, Lindsey is the only one who has had a custom MAF calibrated to equal the stock AFM in voltages.

It says the $250 MAF can be hooked into the stock hardware and is ready to roll on the website.

ok leads me to more questions, i am now more confused than ever.

1. So we are all agreed that the stage one just needs piping to the turbo and it will plug right into the stock comp?

2. Is this set up even worth getting?will it be a good base for big horsepower later on?

3. can i add the mafterburner and wideband O2 to this kit when i am ready for it?

4. Has anyone purchased this and installed it?

1. yes
2. no, for future get the stage II with #3, actually save your money for one of their complete kits with injectors, turbo, MAF, etc.
3. to anything, stock or aftermarket, yes
4. not sure, not that I recall but...

ok leads me right into my next question....whats the difference between the stage one and two?it seems like the only difference is the piping...but i'm guessing i'm wrong because it prolly wouldn't make the price go up 300 bucks.

Pipeing and THAT is when you need the Mafterburner/Power Perfect controller.

The sensor would be different, that is why you need a controller

I have the stage 2 maf kit, Well worth the money. The power perfect and the staged 2 equal great spool up and throttle responce. I was going to go with the stage 1 as well. But I didn't think it was worth it, talking to Mike Lindsey. Good luck and if you have any specifice questions about how it went on, PM me.
