My k26/6 was recently removed from my car and i had planned to sell it on, i put it on ebay here in the uk for £50(approx $90) and got no bids, i didnt think that it was too high a price for a turbocharger, someone else had one on just after mine and it sold for............£10.50!!!!! thats under $20!! surely these must be worth more than this???

I would think its worth at least $50-100 just to use as a rebuild/hotrod piece to send to some place like majestic turbo. Get it rebuilt/balanced/blueprinted with some modifications to improve flow like polishing the inside of the housing, clipping the impellors, etc. Nice cost effective upgrade if you have the original turbo on the car and don't want to drop $1k for a big one then the tuning/chips to get the most out of it.

Graeme, that is incredible! Its the same turbo as fitted to the Audi Quattro if thats any help. Just had a new one fitted on my Quattro by Turbo Technics under warranty! Although to be fair its old technology now and all the boy racers want ballbearings in their turbos You would be better phoniong a Turbo house and asking how much its worth to them as a core

They are THAT bad? Hitting 20psi or so expecting impressive results, ofcourse the k27/8 would be a killer though
