If shipping wasn't terrible that front end would work for my project. I need a bumper anyway and a new factory one is 990 dollars plus shipping from germany, and the turbo S bumper is more like 2k if you can find one......

Any ideas on how hard importing this stuff would be?

(BTW thats one mean looking 968, the 993 headlights are a nice touch)....

It depends, you would have to ship in a crate so it would be a good idea to get a number of people to do it. Customs can be a mother. For more details contact LeadFoot944 for his take on it. He imported a lot from V-Sweeden.

Buy a 968 if that's what you want. Too many people butchering these cars for no good reason, imo.

Matt,

I talked it out with Leadfoot and it was a royal pain for him, and I think he has vowed to never take on anything like that again. But thanks for the info, I hope someone in the states picks them up as supplier so a company can deal with the issues, not us the consumer.

According to Hank at GT-Racing the conversion pieces consist of "pieces around the radiator and the top of the shock towers". I am sure he means wheel upper housing, side member upper, wheel housing front part, and the front panel. I will post more, I might just order it out of curiosity.

I think the 968 fenders can take the Boxster Litronic HID lamps - with minimal modification. The lower curve, and the hood joint of the Litronics mate up to the 968's hood just fine. The real trick is to make the Litronics swing upwards, like in the Boxster- to replace bulbs.

don't know if this was mentioned, but here is a start..... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33640

also check out his out his other auctions... he has the left, right fenders and the hood....

I'd prefer to do the 968 rear end conversion myself...if anyone else has info on that...let me know......

Who sells the 968 adjustable rear wing as on the black pic with the 968 rear end conversion on the first ppge of the thread?

if anyone is interested in the front end pieces.... I am local to the buyer... He emailed me and said I can come by and take a look at the 968 front end.... Let me know. He also has some 944 turbo/951 cars that he is parting out...so I am going to go anyways to look for stuff myself....

Exactly, what would you call the resulting mongrel, a 948

Default Why the negativity?

I don't understand the naysayers. Porsche originally considered the bulbous rear and S2/951 front combo and it would have been called the S3.

It's not like he's wanting to graft a Camaro front end on his car.
