Geeze, that's a bracket and a half!

I used the adapter flanges and went without replacing the bracket. So far so good.

Tomas-

I like that bracket. Any tips on fabbing something like that?

"I tried to put my WBO2 as close to the turbo as possible."

will it last very long seeing such high temperatures?
Is that where it normally goes?

Since the attachment points to the transaxle tube clamp were pretty much in a line and the bracket wasn't triangulated in three dimensions I decided to make it quite thick. Since the material was for free, I used 10 mm stainless steel. The amount of work fabricating the bracket was much more than expected, I think it took the same time as the rest of the exhaust excluding the downpipe but including a home made muffler.
If you want to make one I suggest you do like this:
-Fabricate the plate that connects to the clamp and modify the clamp to accept the plate.
-Fabricate the plate thats bolts to the wastegate.
-Position the wg were you want it and tack weld the two plates together under the car.
-Remove and weld the bracket.
-Put it all together and find that there is no way that the exhaust pipes will line up with the wastegate (even if they did when you tack welded). Cut the and weld the pipes so that they line up.

The sensor will get up to operating temp faster and less current is needed for the heater if you put it in a hooter place. The stock lambda sensor is in the crossover pipe before the turbo. When the gases expand in the turbine they loose a lot of heat so I don't think there will be a problem.

I'd like to check it out as well. What're the chances of doing lunch one day?
