if you need a OEM Bosch # 0280142102, PM me - I have a new one that I just replaced with a billet.

OEM was NOT a BOV (Blow Off Valve), OEM was a Diverter Valve, and the Billet Diverter Valves.

I admire your lust for the correct terms, but in time, you'll learn to just let these things go...

P.S. I have very happy with the evo billet unit from paragon, great stuff!

Michael2s, you may want to check your local dealer. You may be surprised how cheap they are.

Didnt take long for the new Vitesse kit to blow apart the old stock unit. BTW, I'm aware that it technically is a bypass valve, thanks. After doing a search it seems that a lot of folks have gone aftermarket for these. As I understand, the newer replacement OEM for the 951 is the same as the 993 - is this right?- with a more sturdy metal valve. Seems like that should be sufficient for 15-16 PSI wouldnt it?

Go for a Billet or a Forge diverter valve, they would hold

If you have a SAAB dealership handy you can pick up part number 0 280 142 108. It's the same as Porsche part 993.110.337.50 which is the 993 part (they're both Bosch parts and fit perfectly). Your local Porsche place will probably quote you for the 993 part since it's an upgrade version of the 951 part with slightly different internals. These are basically stock replacements so I wouldn't use them if you're running more than 15 PSI.

I also have the evo diverter valve. I am extremely happy with it. The valve opens a lot more than the stock one, I noticed a tiny bit of better boost responce with it. I also installed it on a friends car on the dyno it picked up 2hp. But the added piece of mind makes it worth it.

RPG,

They're both the same BOSCH unit.
