Default Help-Looking for Omori Boost/EGT combo gauge

I've been looking for a particular Omori gauge (ADCH-425-AFC) for over a week now. Does anyone know a supplier in the US. I never got a response back from their home office. I've always heard they make a high-quality gauge, this one is mechanical but they make an electronic version also. Here's the are the link:

Are these 60mm gauges too big to squeeze into a std 2-1/16" gauge hole? I don't know if anyone has opened up one or more of the 3 holes in a gauge panel to put in a 60mm. I am lookint at some SPA gauges but the idea of an analog peak/hold with a digital EGT sounds much better. Are there any dual 2 - 1/16" gauges availiable like the omorois? THe SPA's are very expensive.

Also found Omori USA

3 x 60mm in the panel is probably not doable.
3 x 2-1/16 is already tight. You should mesure it first.

Thanks that gets me a lot closer than trying to get a response from Indonesia. I tried no less than 5 search engines and Omori ends up with a US site that none of them found. I'm planning a left vent location for the 80mm dual meter. I'm shorter and drive up closer, the pillar mounts just don't work for me. The prices are good and the Subie fans in Oz sure say good things about the quality.

This might sound like a dumb question but what is the difference between mechanical and electrical gauges? Obviously, electrical is better, but why? How are they installed differently? Thanks

Eyal,
What I'm hearing from Geo on the X-post is that Omori pulled out of the US and Canada over a year ago. Funny all the sites are still running. I found the price on an Aussie site awhile back, I think the Boost/EGT electronic in colors was like $239. I'll keep you posted if anything pans out.

Electrical run off of sensors with only wiring required, mechanicals require a tube for boost and a hard line for oil pressure all the way to the gauge. A broken oil line under you dash is no fun. Electronics are usually more accurate, especially with an A/F gauge.

I assume it's just a special sensor converting an analog signal for the meter.

Where would you place this sensor? on the KLR boost tube? the wires from the gauge would connect to a positive, ground and that sensor?

Omori is back in the US now under Omori USA. They are the distributor and supply to vendors like J-Spec. I talked to J-Spec today and he will get pricing and all the info and get back to me. If you call the Omori number you get J-Spec. I'll keep everyone posted who's interested in their gauges. A mix n' match GB would be good if the interest is high enough.

60mm does not fit in a 2 1/16th panel nor pod. If you had 2 gauges and both were 60mm you could do it but not in the pod.

Omori makes very nice gauges. You could also check out evil bay, they are very popular among the japanese car guys. Esp. the Subaru guys.

Matt,
Not only am I short, I'm damn near blind at the pillar distance so I'm looking for a slightly larger gauge. Those looking at pod applications would need the single 52mm gauges I would think. This might not be doable but I need something more visible and closer to my line of sight.
