So don't get their MBC - it's a dual port wastegate, like any other. It'll work with another boost controller.

We have found the reliaboost very hard to set accurately. We use the MBC instead, easy as... yea as what, actually? No problem in over 40 track hours.

Lindsey's boost enhancer isn't really a boost controller. It is similar to the accuboost but the accuboost is a boost enhancer AND a controller. This diagram should help (from Danno).

Why wouldn't you want a manual boost controler over the reliaboost, boostenhancer??? You would have control of the boost from within the car. It's also nice combined with a aftermarket boost guage as we all know the factory guage isn't acurate.

Hosrom,
Lindsey sells a MBC as well as the boost enhancer. They are talking about Lindsey pushing their MBC.

It's pretty much accepted that a MBC is better than the LBE when it comes to using a dual port WG. Any MBC will work better than the LBE. Of course Lindsey will recommend theirs. It's not better than anyone else's but works the same.

sam any suggestions on how hook up the reliaboost? same as hooking up to a tial? my understanding is that the MBC that lindsey sells has three ports on it, one hooks to the banjo bolt the other two go to the wastegate (this was my impression from reading their installation instructions, so i could be completely wrong).

my objections to the MBC are:
1) i don't want to spend $65
2) i don't want it in the cabin, less chance of accidental screwup

The accuboost runs in roughly the same price. But its a two-in-one thing.

You control boost fron the engine bay (www.boostsciences.com).

That site for accuboost also has the instructions, you can even bypass the Cycling Valve and have a direct connection between the side vacuum on the wastegate and the banjo bolt on the IC.

If you do so, you would need to block off one pipe going into the turbocharger intake boot (full instructions w/pics on accuboost site).

streckfu's951: I know what they are talking about, however, you cannot use the LBE with a dual port wastegate, that is what i was trying to clarify.

hosrom i know how to hook up the accuboost, it hooks up the same way a reliaboost hooks up which is what i have in my car. i never tried to hook an LBE up to a dual port wastegate, i don't even have an LBE.

my question is still whether anyone is running a reliaboost with a lindsey dual port wastegate.

Whats a LBE? I use a TurboSmart dual stage VBC in my car with a Lindsey Dual Port WG. My boost is not accurate!! Either its the turbo not keeping up, or its the hoses/VBC I use.

Got a 26/8 in need of replacement (not because of trouble, more in need of power )

I`m trying to hold 15psi for now. When reving up to 6000rpm it`s falling to 11psi. When trying to hold 18psi, it fals to 15/14 i think. And some days it maxes out at 15psi boost, and then next at 20psi.
Checked all vacum hoses many times.. Cant really understand my problem. Going to trie the lindsey mbc soon.

Which wastegate do you have? your tubo is the K26/8 so it should hold boost to redline. But the wastegate sounds to be stock? if so, there is your problem.

Hi TMA,
Hosroms diagnosis is favourite, it sounds like your wastegate is not operating properly however it may be worth checking your BOV as I had erratic boost and found it to be the diapragm in BOV
