www.bimmerforums.com but it is more like a Honda forum than this. Also m5.net (might be .com) but they tend to specialize in E39s.

Try www.bimmerforums.com and www.roadfly.org. I don't know of others, but he should be able to go from there.

I have used many different sources for BMW parts (Bavauto, Pelican Parts, VInes Automotive, Turner Motorsports, Bimmerparts, BMP, etc.). I used to own an E34 and would get used parts from vinesautomotive.com and also strictly-german.com. Strictly-german has two yards, one located in north Georgia and one in North Carolina if he is interested in good used parts. Also, here is a specific link to the E34 M5 message board: BMW M5 E34 Message Board

If he needs some more info, send me an e-mail.

WOW, thanks for all the info guys!!

I will try to get him to email some pics. He got it pretty cheap from a car dealer that blew the tranny. So he is putting ina 6 speed manual, doing the interier, paint and then once it is up and running fine, he is looking to put a Roots, I think, supercharer. I told him he'll need it to keep up with me

After taking notice, I see less M5's on the road then 951. I live in Orlando with tons of people driving from all over the country and the world, and have only seen one other M5. He is also interested in talking with some of our tuners (GURU, maybe Vitese) about running the SMT6 or Link stand alone once he has the blower installed. He is planning on running about 8-10psi and expecting about 500hp at the crank. It makes about 345 stock, so not a hugh stretch.

The M5 is a very high maintenance motor, mostly because of the non-self adjusting drivetrain and individual throttle bodies. There is a Dinan cam gear for it that helps push it to 380 n/a crank HP.

Ok, cool Matt. I'll let him know. He is getting the blower kit from some other company. And he is someone that almost never pays retail Hence him asking me of any good sources for parts outside of the retail and dealer.

An SC for an E34 M5 is asking for a blown up engine, the CR is very high. More power to him if he can do it though, will scream.

He will drop the stock compression down before putting on the blower.

There is also a pretty good message board at uucdigest.com.

There are a lot of dismantlers that advertise in Roundel, the BMW club magazine. Roundel is ~5 times better than Panorama and well worth the membership fee.

On that motor, even dropping the compression may not allow him to run 10psi without an intercooler. A friend owns the Tilo supercharged 928. I'm not sure what compression ratio he's running, but he can only squeeze in ~7 lbs before he gets detonation (he's not using an intercooler...yet).
