Default Cleaning the engine HOW?

How on earth do you guys get sparking engines?

I do NOT want to use water at all, do you use carb cleaner? wd-40?

I do not mind scrubbing, but what is the secret?

I used Simple Green and water as well as brushes to remove the caked on crap. Just keep the water away from the altinator and coil/cap. I spent almost 3 days cleaning mine up! It also helps to have a power washer to clean off the non-electrical parts. Just follow the instructions on the bottle.

S100 Cycle Cleaner is the best cleaner I've found. Most of the time, no scrubbing needed on oily baked-on deposits. Just spray it on, wait a while, and hose it off with high-pressure water.

So water is fine? i just want some alternative to using water. Something to spray on, srub and wipe off kind of thing.

How do carb cleaners work? are they effective?

Brake cleaner, will clean almost everything off and not leave a residue. I use it on the race car after track events to make sure nothing is leaking and if it is, I know where it is coming from.

Avoid pressure washing the electrical components!
Ask Iceshark why. So far, he's into ~$400 of repairs thanks to the high pressure wash!

That is why i am trying to keep away from any water as possible, either high pressure or not.

Looks like brake cleaners work best
