Not sure about clearance....I suspect you would have an issue with it though.

Also, from what I have collected you will put MAJOR stress on the suspension....due to the lowering AND the large wheels. Porsche recommends nothing larger than 16s if you lower your car. You may also run into problems getting a decent alignment with all the changes you have made.

I'm lowered 1.5 inches, and run 18 inch wheels. No clearance issues.

Same here.
Install the 968 caster blocks and make sure your ball joints are in good shape.

My setup is:
18x8-225/40/18 front
18x9.5 285/30/18 rear
Koni Yellows F&R
200# Hypercoils
Adj. ride height kit on front struts
Rear lowered with eccentric
968 Caster blocks
968 M030 rear sway-set at full stiff
Rennbay ball joints
New sway bushings and stock S2 front sway.

I am wondering the same thing. But what are the castor blocks? Where do they go and what do they do?

The castor blocks are where your control arms mount to the underside of your car.

I just upgraded my caster blocks and Porsche recommends when fitting 17-18 inch wheels (PCNA Technical Bulletin, Group 4, Number 9303, dated 28 September 1993) requires the installation of new caster rear mounts, eccentric bolts, and nuts. The new stronger parts are the same as those fitted to the 968. The rear mount has much less rubber compared to the stock 944 mount and the construction is much more rigid.

Updated Caster Mounts — Parts List
951-341-023-01 Rear Mount (2 ea)
951-341-431-02 Eccentric (2 ea)
900-910-115-02 Nut (4 ea), 100 Nm (74 ft-lb)

You can buy the eccentric bolts and nuts from Sunset Porsche.

BTW, I got all of that info off of www.944s2.com
