I can attest that both of Rick's wheel sets look great in person...especially when shod with Hoosiers. Forgeline also has an exceptional reputation for quality and service. They would be at the top of my list, but they are more of a track wheel than a street wheel.

Rick,

What are the offsets and backspacing on those forgelines?

The 996tt has an 11" rear rim shod with 295's I thought? Anyways Im more interested than anything as Im playing with the idea of trying a 285 on a 11" to give a tad more clearance than stock 996tt sizes. Need to talk to promotion to make sure its not going to be a huge waste of my time though.

JonM,

I apologize but I don't have the offets with me (I'm on vacation with the family this week). If you're interested in the Forgelines drop Dave Schardt an email (his info is at www.forgeline.com) and he'll be quick to respond with helpful into. Dave and his crew are top notch people and a real pleasure to work with.

The wheels are well suited to either street or track duty - it's just a matter if they have the style, color & price range that you're looking for.

Cheers,

Rick

Jeremy,

That is exaclty the size setup I'm going with, but have just not decide which manufacturer yet. What are the offsets you used. Oh and is your car an S or standard turbo?

Thanks

Optional 17's from a 2000 Boxster

I had to make a very minor modification to the center caps (clipped about 2mm off the end of the engagement prongs) on the front to get them to clear.

And here are the "pimp daddy '80's" gold 16" BBS wheels that were on it when I bought it

I am suprised. macnewma looks to be the only one running the Fuchs wheels, i heard that theu are super light and made for racing, and rare as well. If that is the case, i am keeping mine and going to look for someone here locally to refurbish them for me

The poster asked for late offset wheels for late offset cars. Hence no Fuchs as they do not fit late offset.

If you want to see fuchs, here are mine on my car........

This is a photoshop but you get the idea.
What's your opinion on this? Should I, or shouldn't I?

944pete, I would go deep, gloss black.

Greg, I have the pimp dady 80's BBS with the gold also. PO put them on. I have since painted all silver and they look much better.
