Well, i was looking for some boost gauges for my car. Since i live outside the US, i figured it would be more economical to look for them here locally.
Turns out that the boost gauges they have here are from Auto gauge, a tiny 2" gauge with traditional lighting.
Cost? $50!!!!!!!!
Anyway, i found a workshop for this really BIG rally driver. They told me that they have Autometer boost gauges.
I pass by and guess what? NO gauges, they have these used boost gauges from Volvo's and Saab's and some gauge cup holders from Autometer.
Price? Gauge: $150
Autometer Gauge Cup Holder: $76
What a laught! Oh, and turns out that they have a dynometer, which made me REALLY happy.
First of all, they showed me this graph of a 1992 Nissan SUV with an exhaust upgrad.
Claiming 403hp at the flywheel and 303lbs/ft of torque?
Sounds like something is wrong, so i asked them about tuning the a/f ratio....they said "what's that!" can you imagine?
So i asked how much it would cost for a dyno run price?
$140 PER RUN!!!!!!! I told them that in the US a dyno run costs around $80 per hour
What they said? "oh, that is in the US, we are in Dubai"
Hahahahaha. if i got an autometer gauge from the US and paid $15 for shipping, it would cost LESS than half price of what they offer.....now you guys now that here, i and LITERALLY all alone and need as much support from you as possible

Well i do want a boost gauge, but i am looking for something that has a nice and clear light.
Autometer gauges are nice, but their lighting sucks, and their coblat series (using LED lights) are over $200.
What do you recommend?

I still do, did i mention anything regarding my car?
I found another place with a dynometer, costs $204.7 for a single run
I am going to get me a G-tech performance meter, at least i would know +-5% of my power

It is not just the color of the gauge, some gauges have traditional lighting that just hits the backround, so looks cheap. Other have dial-a-though lighting like VDO, the numbers, needs and marks all light up against the backround, thus causing it to be clearer, then there are LED Glow gauges, ricey but nice

I have a VDO boost gauge that reads in BARs from -1to +1.5 I will not be using it soon. PM me if you would like it. It is in great condition. I can mail it to you with its original packaging.

Nope, they're Autometer Pro Comp Ultra Lights. I have a 20psi boost, a/f, and water temp gauge.
And yes, they mount under the radio.
btw- A set of these gauges goes for less than $120.

Looking closer at the pic, and gauges, your a/f gauges has a needle, i though autometer's a/f gauges are all LED lit.
I shall look for them at www.egauges.com, where else can i get them from? and for the mounting, you got yourself the Lindsey gauge face oir is there something else?
I have the factory plastic cover, i can use that right?
