Default Wheel color choice... opinions please!

My wheels are in rough shape after years of abuse, so I'm gonna get them refinished. Which means I can choose whatever color I want hehe. Getting sick of Silver, so I'm gonna switch to black. Let me know what you think of these 2 photoshop mockups.

All Black

Black + Silver

it's the block side that's o-ring'd. Give Marc @ alpine autowerks a call, 403-287-9114.

I like the black with silver, hmm maybe try a lighter gunmetal color.. that would look sweet.

BTW, Where did you get the rims? Make model?

OZ monte carlo. Back when I got them, *EVERY* car on the road had them, so annoying. They stopped making them like 8 years ago, so they're old school now and nobody has em lol.

Thanks....... just spoke with him. Nice fellow. Interesting on the o-ring on the block as opposed to the head. This time I will o-ring the head with him...... but next engine he is getting the block.....

The only thing I worry about black + silver lip is that my wheels don't really have a lip... the whole edge is continuous from end to end. I could do a fake lip, but that'd be pretty ghetto heh.

Default IMHO silver but not black

How about red or blue ?

Has anyone painted their wheels any other color other than black or silver ? I've seen a few white cars with wheels painted white from the factory.

My white '89 944 Turbo currently has the 993 Cup wheels but I want to do something more creative with the stock OEM Clubsport wheels that need freshening up anyway. I don't want to spend $200 per wheel getting them re-anodized.

I got a price of $175/wheel to have the Clubsport wheels completely (face and barrel) powdercoated silver but I kinda like the idea of painting the wheels Guards Red or Riviera Blue.
