I think I know whats happening. I had this same problem on my turboed honda, but maybe its different here? I thought I had an exhaust manifold leak, so i put some water/soap mix in a spray bottle and sprayed the manifold. Sure enough, bubbles came out right by the gasket. Got a new one and it didnt flutter anymore when releasing boost. Hope this helps a little. Do you have a boost gauge? When it flutterd on my car, you could watch the needle jitter back to vaccum and it did it kinda slow.

Woa! I ment the exhaust manifold gasket is what was my problem, not the manifold itself. I'd def. try the soap/water mix thing and see if and where the leak is.

The gaskets are only 6 months old. I think they are fine. Damn.

FWIW I run a Forge BOV/CBV with 18psi and have no fluttering of air back and forth off the compressor wheel and tb when I shift (which is certainly what the gobble sounds like), but I do have stock k26/8 and run it from an svh line off the fuel damper...I do however see a spike in pressure on my profec memory function (almost 1.5psi) when I shift so I do have some concerns that the actuation of the CBV is not quick enough. But I'm also concerned since the profec is tapped from the klr line itself which should draw from the mani and not the intake tract and should not show a spike in boost on closed throttle - sorry to hijack a little, but has anyone encountered this as well?

You will get boost spikes when you tap the pressure from the intake manifold instead of directly after the turbo.

Are they 'ghost' spikes for a reading, or are they a concern, since the dme is reading them as well?

I just sent the sound file to Wes, it is not very clear so you may not tell the sound, my mic is very sensitive, may be some use, so the consensus is a leak somewhere? given the signal the BOV in getting?

That sounds like the BOV is suppose to sound... It is realesing air, comporessor surge sounds different... I had a buddy with a Shebly CSX that hadn't put a BOV on yet, and it sounded different then that when he got compressor surge...

Its not the just woooosh sound though, it is fluttering then woosh. In my experience thats not normal, you cant hear the woosh as it is too faint. The fluttering is more pronounced than the wav file suggests.
