Default 951 power loss question

Hey,
I found a "87 951 for sale with only 70k miles.
The car is 300 miles away but looks perfect( i know digital photos cant be trusted).
When I asked the "whats wrong with the car/ what does the car need?" question, the owner(female/ owned 3 years/driven summers only) said, "well it does not have near the power it used to".
I asked if the turbo had gone out. She said no, that it still showed boost on the gauge bar.
Any thoughts, ideas,comments,concerns?????
Before I drive 5 hours to look at it.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once a person gets used to a cars power it always seems slower (at least to me). So, theat may be part of it. Mechanically maybe it's the BOV or Fuel pressure regulator. Both easy and inexpensive to replace. Maybe needs tune up, has a dirty air filter, has vacuum leaks.

That's just a few of the more common ones that come to mind.

i second alex. It might just have a horrible wastegate, bad vac lines, etc... easy stuff to fix.

yep, i agree with those guys

944T4ME (paul's) car seems to have lost some power and I think he got a good amount back with just a tune up. good spark plugs are very important in turbo cars
