I just installed my testpipe, man does that thing sound nice at high rpms
Anyway, after I installed it, I punched the car to 4500rpms while in neutral, to check for leaks, etc. Well, there weren't any leaks, but there was some water in the muffler. I recall when I pulled out the cat, water did spill out of the bottom...
What causes this?

Have you done alot of short trips? Typically it doesn't heat up the engine and exhaust enough to vaporize all the water that's condensated in the crankcase and exhaust. If you look at a the exhaust of lots of trucks and SUVs in the morning, they're spewing out water by the gallons.

Eyal, yes the turbo spools quicker, I didn't do a before/after dyno, so I wouldn't know about any gains. But, it sure as hell sounds like there are. Under normal driving, the exhaust sounds a lot deeper and throatier than of my old setup with the cat.
Dan, The engine was cold, in fact it hadn't been started in almost a week.
I worry too much whenever I see something that looks out of place on this car. Thanks again for the gasket help, Pepboys had one that just needed some minor alteration.

Normal byproducts of the chemical reaction we call combustion are Co (carbon monoxide) and H2O (water). When an engine gets to operating temp the H2O will turn to vapor and you will not see it exit the tailpipe. When an engine is cold the H2O remains a liquid and this is what you are seeing.
Now when you blow a head gasket, you will have an exessive amount of water in the combustion process and this will surface as white smoke exiting from the exhaust pipe.

I did see white smoke exiting the tailpipe, but it lasted for about 30 seconds when I first started the car. When a headgasket is faulty, does the tailpipe release a constant white smoke?

Hey Eyal I recently did my test-pipe as well and on top of noticing very good hp gains,
it also produced a quite noticable quicker spool, and the sound is perfect not booming but alot deeper than with the cat,
also I forever had a pinging issue that was finally solved by installing the test-pipe my guess is the cat was clogged and I probably lowered the temperature by over 100 degrees!
After spending alot of money-injectors-new vac lines-
every rubber hose- it ended up being the cat!!!
If anyone is contemplating a Bursch test-pipe I highly recommend doing it.
