Default How can I tell If my R12 A/C was converted

The sticker on the car says R12, I borrow my friends #20 tank but the
fitting on the A/c Hose is different, is it possible that it was converted?
How can I tell? Is there some kind of adapter for the R!2 Tanks hose?

Yes, there is an adapter fitting that comes with most r-134a kits. There is also a sticker that is suppposed to be installed in plain sight after the conversion. The r-134a adapter should just screw onto the existing fitting. Should be easy to spot.

Mike,
Yes it looks like an adapter was screwed on top of the original one so I'll
get some 134.

Thanks!
