Hi Will,
I'm planning to get going around 7:00, if you want to stop by that would be great. Don't feel you have to help, get dirty, or stay long.
-Joel.

Wow, there might be something to that 'co-operation' stuff they are always talking about on Sesame Street. Will came by and thanks to his help the motor is out! We found some scary stuff, the shops that have been working on this car cut a few corners. Like actually putting all the torque tube bolts in, and putting nuts on the motor mounts, loose wastegate to crossover connection, and (here's my favorite) one bolt holding the turbo to the mount, and the other hole filled with silicone sealer.
Thanks again Will!

Not a problem Joel....glad to help.
Seems like Chris was thinking the 10th or 11th which would be great for me. I will start a list of things I want to do to my car....but I think I would really like some help installing my rear speakers. Anyone with experience could really help me out. Or even figure out why my drivers fog light doesn't work....and it's not the bulb!!!
Chris....pick a day. We can all get there around 10AM. Let's all go down and have some lunch and some beers and work on these cars a bit.

Will, I swapped out the rear speakers in mine... put 6.5" MB Quarts in there which are awesome. Pretty easy to do- try a search first. In a nutshell I'd recommend removing the panel which requires pushing out the window (really not a big deal) Once inside there should already be a removable circular cutout in the body that you can remove and mount the bigger speaker. Perhaps someone can confirm this for your year car. Theres a company called Sosche if I recall correctly that sells an adapter plate, but I went ahead and drilled 3 holes in the inner body section to correlate with the mounting tabs on the speakers. Also picked up the speaker grills to fit online. Sweet! call if you need help.

Yes, Mike you are correct you should have a inner mounting pannel that you could dremmel or rotozip out. In my old NA we make custom wood inserts instead of cutting the pannel. Lets have some wrenching days SOON!!!
