Hi,
We're in the process of building our race engine, we fabricated our con rod balancing fixture and successfully balanced all 4 rods to less than a gram.
However, our brand new pistons are causing a problem. One of the 4 is from a different manufacturing date, and is 20 grams lighter than the other three. These are Porsche OEM pistons, and do not appear to have 20 grams of material to be removed.
Has anyone seen this, and if so, been successfully able to remove this amount of weight?
If not, does anyone have a piston in stock that I could compare manufacutring dates to, and possibly complete our set with another close match?
Thanks,
Andrew Wojteczko

Turbo pistons are supposed to be 730 +/- 4 grams. If you have one that is 20 grams lighter, it is probably the wrong piston or way out of spec. I'd return it if possible.
