Are you sure the FQS switch is in the right position for the 18 psi on your GURU chips.

I've never touched the switch.

Are you still running the stock injectors?

Yes, stock injectors.

Guys, I really do appreciate all comments, and don't mind answering the questions but I would like some input on Randy's car (especially from other people who've got the Stg. II kit from vitesse). I'm not too concerned with my car.

I would love to see those numbers with the wastegate holding the boost to redline

Ahmet, that might be the AFR problem on your car. Somewhere at the house I have the instructions, I will post them for you.

Todd - if you are referring to Ahmets numbers it is most likely not the WG but the fact that the turbo is well out of its efficiency range. In fact the car probably makes no more HP at 18 than at 15 but does see a nice bump in torque.

As to Randys car I dont see a problem. It is running 14 psi with no tuning and still at those numbers. The turbo is not being used to the max (really out of its range as well). What "problem" are you trying to solve?

Matt, please do (you can PM them to me if you like).

As to Randy's car, I think the last run was a 15.5 ish psi run, but either way I expected more, should I have not? The website shows over 400hp to the wheels, and boost is not specified... What should it make (his car barely pulls from mine on the road also) you think? The chips are supposed to be dialed in quite well, and the SMT6 is supposed to be just for fine tuning. I have a feeling timing is not very agressive, yet I'm under the impression that SMT6 can't adjust timing (even though the website claims it can).

the boost was a lot more than 15.5psi, john clarified what it was in an old post if you want to search, but i believe it was like 20 psi or something like that. if i remember correct myswiss made something like 337rwhp at 17 psi.

The boost pressure, with the 400 hp is around 20-22 psi, with race gas. John doesn't recommend running over 15-16psi without race gas. Let me see if I can get Jim(jwl) to come on here and give you some insight. I drove his car the other day. The power delivery is smooth but really picks up after 4000 rpm. My car seems to hit harder but in the end, they both seem very close to say 5500rpm. Tweak the fuel curve for Randys car and I think you'll see an improvement. What size injectors did Randy get, 55#?

Jims first dyno chart, 14-15psi, exhaust leak, and just after break in mileage.

That makes me feel a lot better. I was hoping for 340ish to the wheels at 17psi, looks like that'll be a bit optimistic... I like Randy's power delivery a lot. It doesn't feel faster (yet!), but it's a lot more fun to drive.

Thanks a bunch for the input guys, I appreciate it.

I don't think 340 to the wheels @17psi is overly optimistic at all. Another few PSI and some tuning with the SMT should get you there. My Swiss was making upwards of 330 @ 17psi with the stage 1 and proper tuning. Looking at the charts, some areas are below 11:1 and there is plenty of power to be had there. Nice runs for tuning only using the FPR.

Thanks Bret for helping with the visual, just what I was getting at. The car in the condition it is right now looks just about right.

Ahmet,
As the guys said, I remember John posting that the chart for Stage 2 kit was at 20+ boost and with race gas.

As to your chart, I believe Danno expects boost to peak at 18 psi and go down to 15psi...it almost seems like in your case, you may be running more than 18psi peak as your whole A/R curve seems to be bumped up? How did you measure boost?
