Just as the turbo caliper came right off the 928S4, so did the rotor. I can't tell you if crossdrilled will make any difference, as I use the basic S4 rotor on my car. OEM Zimmermans have lasted 2+ years and a bunch of track days, and still are fine, have a set of another OE german make in the garage for when they go later this year.

I've not found them any cheaper than at Vertex - $89/rotor, and Hawk HP Plus pads for $89. Don't know if I'd buy used/rebuilt parts from them based on feedback here on Rennlist, but have had fine luck buying brake stuff.

I get my brake rotors from Sunset Porsche, stock 89' 944 Turbo rotors, prices fluctuate with Porsche, but you won't find OEM any cheaper.

If you plan on serious track use, avoid drilled rotors like the plague. Otherwise, it doesn't matter, you won't notice the difference.

Are those the same rotors as from the 964? I have a set.

Nope, the 964 uses a 298x28mm rotor, I think the same one as the stock 951. The TurboS and 928S4 uses a 322x32mm rotor and is the same one used on the 993RS/C4S/TT cars.

The cross drilled rotors cracks but it's normal. You just have to be carefull that the cracks doesn't reach the border of the rotor and doesn't join 2 holes

Nope

944 Turbo (220 bhp) uses 298mm front rotors and 299mm rear (944 S2 and 968 also)
944 Turbo S (250 bhp) uses 304mm front rotors and 299mm rear (944 S2 and 968 with M030 also)

Rear pads are the same, front pads are much larger on Turbo S brakes.

The 322mm rotors were never used on a stock 951, even if we can adapt it

Tom Pultz has a good write up about 944/968 brakes at http://www.944s2.com/brakes/brakes.htm

Here are my front pads (Pagid Orange) after 3 track events. This is with my cross drilled rotors. I don't know how it wears with slotted ones..
