Thumbs up finally fixed my pinging issue

Well after an endless hunt for my intermittent pinging issue it ended up being a clogged cat!!!!!
Once I installed my test-pipe voila no more freakin ping, I spent alot of time and money trouble shooting this problem, from new chips to changing every vac line-intake hose-fuel injectors etc.....it feels good to sort this out at last.
Has anyone heard of this problem before? Could the clogged cat cause too much backpressure or not allow enough hot air out? I'm wondering why a clogged cat would cause pinging?

Cheers to Bursch test-pipes
