Hi all,

I recently acquired a 1988 944 Turbo S (silver rose) and it has not had the timing belt or water pump replaced in many years so that is one of the first things I want to tackle so it's done.
any suggestions on kits? I found a few on FCP euro and ECS for timing belt and water pump but they didn't all include the same parts so I am wondering what ones will work on my car and will be correct.

Just has to be a 87+ year kit as the 86's have a manual tensioner. 87-89 are the same. Paragon products has the belt and roller kit as well as lindsey racing and 944 online. Be a good time to do front engine seals if it needs it and oil pump drive collar if miles are higher.

 

Best to avoid using the "S" nomenclature when ordering a timing kit as the 16 valve "S" cars utilize different components than the 8 valve cars.
