Default So Cal head machine shop recomendations, and questions.

Hey, I hust pulled the head, and now I need to take it to a shop to have them machine it, and the valves, and remove a tap broken into the head. While its off, I'll buy the parts, and have them rebuild the head. Any suggestions on that? what are your feelings on 3 angle, 5 angle valve jobs. (i need details on this)
Anyone know of a good shop, relativly local to me? thanks!

also, what are your thoughts about milling the head for about 8.5:1 compression instead of 8:1...

I'd reccommend Performance Developments for the machining. Also be sure that you have proper valve to piston clearance if you mill the head.

Valley Engine in Gargen Grove.

They did all my machine work. Nice work, no BS.

I recommend WEST COAST RACING CYLINDER HEADS in Reseda, in the middle of San Fernando Valley. Even their name gives you a good feeling of experience. They have worked on several of my cylinder heads.
