With the tial I experienced less of a dramatic drop in boost. I would compair it to a downward hill rather than a cliff.

Tazman,

You have a very nice, flat boost curve at 18 psi all the way up to near redline. Do you have any dyno data on that setup? I'm trying to get my setup (currently have the Guru WG and Reliaboost) to hold 18 psi at the high end instead of gradually dropping off. I made nearly 300 rwhp with my K26/8 but at the point of maximum hp the boost has dropped off to 15 psi.

Brett:

If you have a map box, can you not upgrade it to boost control, buy a 3 port solinoid and have essentially an electronic boost controler?

You have to love the performance of the AVC-R
I hope to have some dyno info within the next two weeks. I plan to dyno it at 16 & 18 psi. I want to do the 16 psi run to compare to my last dyno run before the Tec3 and SFR stage 2 headers.

Matt I guess I could do that but I have my eye on a blitz sbc ID unit. I like the ease of use with it and its pretty small too.

The MAP box boost is a simple duty cycle table, not comparable to a good EBC. Both the AVCR and the SBC-iD (my current choice), as well as a number of others, will give you the rock steady, fast boost response you're looking for.
