Hello,

Long time no post.

The brake pad warning light came on in the instrument panel on my '91 944 Turbo and I'm going to do the brakes.

The 1991 Turbo came standard with the M030 'baby black' brakes, so it takes the same pads as the 928. I bought a set of Textar pads but my memory fails when it comes to the silencers.

This car doesn't get driven much and I did this many moons ago, so I forget whether the rear brake silencers are plates like on the front calipers, or adhesive springs.

If someone could please clarify this for me, I'd really appreciate it.

According to PET, the silencers are plates with pucks. There are different ones depending on VIN.

 

Nice to see you're still around - the picture of your cab with the purple flowers was a desktop background for years back in the day!

 

Thanks for this. I've looked at the PET but the rear silencers are confusing. If you could point out the part numbers it would be great.
