I believe it is setup with no break booster but duel break master cylinders. It is probably setup with one for the front and one for the back. Kinda like a adjustable break bias valve so you can change the amount of fluid going to the front and rear but on a higher level. If you check it out closer you will see the separate reservoir for the clutch as well.

I was thinking swirl pot, but the input lines look too small.

Perhaps the separator, but it looks way too small to be an oil tank...

The dual master cylinders I think are required by Grand Am and other professional sanctioning bodies. The brakes are 993TT Big Reds with Pagid orange pads.
Travis,
Just reread your 2nd post about the balance shafts. In my post dinner fog I misunderstood what you were saying. You obviously know the engine bay of the 951 better than I do.

Sloth - great car ! ... congratulations on your newest Porsche !
My 951 is beginning its way down the slippery slope this week to ensure its future trackworthy potential.
New tires, waterpump & timing belts/rollers, just a little basic maintenance !

Thanks all for your interest. As requested here are some additional pix, will try to get a few more up tonight...
These engine bay shots are a few years old, but the general package is the same...
Refreshed engine bay...In addition to the cosmetics, destroked 3L, and the revised oil catch system, it looks like I picked up an extra vacume line on the BOV.
Interior w/ radio, adjustable brake bias, fire system, AF meter, Stack dash... not seen is the gel battery and the bottom of the oil resevoir in the passenger footwell. The doors and rear wing are from Crawford Composites, the dash is also in CF though I am not sure who made that part (Crawford?).
About the balance shafts... I understand they have been reworked to make them lighter.

Not to continue to bug with questions, but...
The rearveiw mirror(s) - the one(s) on the door - any idea where those came from?
Car looks great...

Can you explain all the connections on the drivers side of the intake Plenum? There looks to be 4 or 5 bosses welded up with various hoses protruding from each. There is also one on the back. The two up front look like a vacuum source for BOV and intake air temp sensor.
