Not odd, the Link software with a suitably fast computer will take over 5 data points per count. Remember the data is plotted by rpm and MAP, each rpm and MAP event is related to a unique count.

The chair reference, was regarding the post where someone flamed you for your $1000.00 red and yellow seats. Myself, I don't care, I think there is an *** for every seat and you have found yours.

Oh boy...............here we go again!

Nah, not going again sorry! I like Porsches red leather / yellow piping design... I may do a black with white piping and white "turbo" text in the centre of back rest, not factory but I like the idea. Good to have options when you can.

Hey NZ,
Don't sound upset. I thought you
that you had noted down the
dimensions. Just wanted to compare
notes.

Not upset, I have just said many times that it was measured, and on a few posts now. Sorry if it came across that way. I didnt note them down, Link tech just measured the actual dimensions and read of the Turbonetics tech book...

Hey great to see that we are back on the turbo issue..I love this site and it has made my $18 for membership my most well invested money..I like the people here and like all the advices..

.I agree with J Chen..we are all from different parts of the world and sometimes we don't come across as we mean to...NZ is one of the first friends I made here along with a few others and don't like the fact that some people I know and have helped me don't get along...can't force them to..each is a different personality.. but I think if we try to repect each other and focus on our cars(wich seem to give us headaches enough) we will save loads of money..and we can all use that..anyway..don't mean to butt in. I think this is a great comunity! Great people.

I dont think anyone really knows about the Vitesse turbo's! And I only know the basics about mine. I dont really know how to compare Turbonetics and Garrett turbos, I dont know much about either. I asked Eyal to join you for a beer! He is in CA to. I am still going through a Red Bull and Vokda phase. I have a conference I am presenting at on Thurs / Fri so will be on them again! Note to self, must stay away from the Hotel pool.

I dont know why NZ's getting jumped on???? I posted my Vitesse curve in a similar manner some time back as many many people were asking what the 'quick spool' option spooled like.

Hey Andrew, remember this..

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ol+boost+curve

NZ said in the referenced thread that he would do the same once he got his 60-1 running and he did, so WTF is up with that?

NZ

The boost curve looks very good. And I'm sure the turbo is working out real well for you.

Don't mind some of the other people here.... It's amazing reading the comments I just read.

The list is about information and sharing information. You've done just that.

The list is not just about answering questions.

Your post was very informational.

The 60-1 turbo (and the HiFi variant) is an excellent turbo for sure. I'm sure the car is real fast. Get it tuned properly.. and it will be faster, smoother, and more reliable for sure.

As far as the 928GTS goes... :

I know of quite a few of very modifed 928's roaming the streets with big stroker engines. They are very fast with tons of torque and big fat wide powerbands...

And, contrary to what anybody else might think, they are very fast on the track when setup properly.

I've seen quite a few of them tear up lightly modded 951's and 911's on the track on a regular basis.

Good to see you Tony. That oil cooler you sold me is working great :-)

As for the origin of this thread. I found the graph interesting as well.

I do, but it's not my place to tell. The Vitesse TO4E's are different from the Hi-Fi's.

NZ, I was actually surprised at the spool up characteristics you posted. I didn't expect to see that from the HiFi att that PSi and a lack of a good tune. I agree with Tony about the comments I just read.

TonyG, glad to see your back. I'm interested in your "new" projects.

Horsepowerfarm, Lighten up brother it's only a web board. Is my spelling okay?

Hey team, I have the turbo at 19psi now, OMG its a different world! I had the old turbo at 19psi before but it didnt feel any faster than at 15psi really. This is a different kettle of fish all together! My boostguy pipes and Tial BOV are in the mail, so hopefully I can get rid of that compressor surge.

Oh and I have an exhaust leak in the manifold! Damn it. Though I dont think thats affecting spool too much.
