Default Rear end height

I once heard that are cars were lowered 1 inch in the rear in order to meet US bumper height regulations. Is this true? Reno

I think you heard it wrong. From what I have been told, they were raised with the eccentric in the back to comply with US bumper height regs. around .5 to .75 inches.

I was able to lower the rear a full 1" using the eccentrics, so I figured they were at the high-end of the range to begin with.

Tifo, I meant to say raised. Will the car handle better by lowering the rear end 1 inch as Porsche engineers designed it to be? Thanks for the replys, Reno
