Is this an MBC?

The location looks a little odd, but I have seen an MBC like that. It is a bleed type controller, but looks pretty corroded due to the heat. For faster spool up get a check-valve type controller.

The blue thing at the top is a valve it's for vac lines. It comes from somewhere around the brake booster. I don't know for sure what it is called.

Dang that valve!!! I have been looking for the location of that thing since I rebuilt mine last year! I found it laying in the mess, that is, the back of a 951 engine. I'm glad I know where it goes now. I wish the picture was a little more clear so that I get it in the right place. Since one of you said it's for the heating/AC system, then it should be relatively easy. I took lots of digital pictures for that rebuild during teardown, but somehow that thing fell off and I didn't see where it went. I didn't have any bolts/nuts left over at the end of the build except for that blasted thing, so I felt that I was doing pretty good. Kary

The check valve gets connected to a T in that area then after the check valve you should hook up the two lines that go towards the passengers side of the car. One line goes to the vacuum canister in the battery compartment and the other connects at the firewall down behind the engine.
