Default Muffler/resonator mix?

Magnaflow stainless oval muffler of 14" L X 5" H X 9" W is often cited as suitable for the 951, but some posters say add a resonator upstream of the muffler, to keep the car quiet but retain straight-through flow efficiency.

If so, what resonator works well with the Magnaflow muffler?

Try it. If you don't like it add a resonator later.

I have the same question. Did you find a solution?

I recently removed a 3" exhaust that had a resonator and Magnaflow muffler. Originally had a straight pipe but it was too loud for my liking so had the resonator installed. Made a big difference and it did not affect performance.

No longer using the exhaust. Replaced with stock and new CAT so I can get the car smogged and back on the road!

I don't plan to re-install and will be selling with the 3" downpipe if interested.
