Rick-

Yeah, I'm not sure I should go out for a session of uninstructed track time. I would be comfortable, but I don't think I would learn as much and would probably pick up some bad habits.

I might just try to attend one or both of the Ohio region events in July at Putnam.

Man guys, I had a great time! I would definately like to do that again sometime. Everyones cars looked great, hope to see yours soon Mike, with fresh paint!

Rick - Do they have instructors at the ProSport events? or is it more like a hop in your car and do laps all day kind of event. Im eager to go, but I think I would be better off instructed the first time on a open track.

Looking through the websites I saw the Ohio Valley PCA July 16-18 @ Putnam, and Tracquest on Sept 6-7. Did you mention any others last night Im not seeing? Thanks!

Sam - I don't think there are any instructors; it's just open track time. I think you'd be best off to start out at events with good instruction like the PCA events.

Here's a couple of events to think about:
May 31-June 1 Tracquest @ Mid-Ohio
July 9-11 Northern Ohio PCA @ Mid-Ohio
July 24-25 Midwest Ohio PCA @ Putnam

Check out www.trackschedule.com for a whole bunch of others.

Hope to see you at the track soon.

There is a good chance I will hit up one or two of the events in July. I would also like to try out the Tracquest event in September.

Rick- When did you say the event at Barber was? Also, about how long does it take to get down there?

This may turn into 2 similar posts, the one I entered awhile ago didnt show up..

Im very interested in the July 24-25 @ Putnam, and the Sept 6-7 @ Mid-Ohio. Im going to start looking into both of these. On trackschedule.com it lists the July 24-25 online app as "April" Did I already miss the cutoff date?

Barber is November (can't find the dates right now...should be on www.trackschedule.com).

I'm guessing it's about 8 hours down there...how about a 951 caravan????

Sam-

I would just contact the person in charge of the DE for July. You might get on a wait list or there may still be room. Let me know when you schedule. I might try to get out there at the same time.
