Default Reader's Sales Reports in Excellence & my 88 951

I had submitted my buying info to Excellence a while back and it made it in the current issue. I was very pleased to see they thought my car in execellent condition should bring about $15,450.00. Looking at my car I would say it is a 9 out of 10. I have some stone chips on the front below the head lights. Only way to avoid that is not to drive it but other then that it is perfect. With the new clutch, and up to date maintenance belt retensioned and a few other things like new Cup wheels and new Kumho tires I would have to agree. I will be taking care of the stone chips before I put it away in the fall. But has anybody had luck selling the car on the Renn List site. I was thinking of selling it but not sure I can. My reasons for selling were only to buy a bigger boat and selling the 951 would free up some more $$$.

Good luck getting that number. Excellence is really strange in that respect. 2 years ago they would have said that your car is worth 8 grand (when the market for 951 was hot), now it goes the other way around, the market is slow but they are high.

Funny guys.

Cliff.. Is your car a Turbo S? Was this the car we discussed in the other thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...bruce+anderson

If so, sorry to say you may be the victim of Bruce's mistake..

No my car is not a Turbo S and it looks like I missed all the traffic on my car. I had not been to the Renn list for a while. He did miss print it saying it was a 89 at the end, it is an 88. So if anybody knows where the guy is who will give me what Bruce says it is worth send him my way and don't hog him for your self. With the price of Premium hovering around $2.00/gallon I can see where the car market for this kind of car would drop off.

The car is listed as regular 88 turbo but then Bruce gives the values of the 89 turbo if I'm not mistaken. I just saw this today.

They seem to lag the market. But then. aren't his numbers a national average? I know that there is a big difference between cars being sold in different locations. What might get $12k in SoCal will get $7k in Michigan.
