Could someone give me an idea of how a modified 951 performs? I wouldn't want to take it too far too keep it reliable, but something like a bigger turbo and intercooler, maybe an aftermarket EMS, bigger fuel pump, and like that. I am thinking of getting one as an alternate daily driver. I drive my 3.6 turbo most days, but am putting too many miles on it. On the other hand, being manic, I need the power. My 3.6 is putting out about 420 to the wheels, so its not too radical. I'd want something at least similar on a power-to-weight ratio. Can someone suggest quarter mile times or 0-100mph? Thanks.

With the mods you listed, you could achieve 350 pretty easily. Any more above 400 or so, you are going to have to do some engine mods... There are many cars that are putting upwards of 400 though. Check out TonyG, rage2 for starters...

Talk to Chris Prack about his work with them as well. Joe, DFASTEST951, is obviously one to speak with as well (as I'm sure you can tell by his name).

Thanks. Does anyone have 0-100 or 1/4 mile times handy?
Nice car FSAEraser03. Looks very clean. (Looks like you like to detail your car as much as I do.)
NZ951: you should have some serious kiwi-power going on. The 60-1 is a Greddy? What trim? I see you're doing the windshield washer thing. I'm sure you know this, but you can add an Acquamist water injection system and run higher boost? (I know some guys down your way are down on water injection, but I use it on my Rx7 and it lets me run 25 psi without risking detonation.)
Thanks again.

mine went 12.39 @ 118.6 on a very poor 2.32 60 ft. i didn't beat it cause the tranny isn't really designed for that kind of abuse. (not that many are) i also run 1:02's at Lime Rock.

With 350whp, you should be hitting 0-60 in about 5 sec (or quicker). I'm getting 5.6 or so with 250 to the wheels.
These cars are known to be qicker than the power numbers would lead you to believe. With 350hp you'll faster than many more powerful cars.

I was bored last night, so I went with friends, and shifted 0-60 in about 4.8 (with 4 people in the car -no, i wasn't drunk) I have a mostly stock 89 turbo with some nameless superchips.

If you give me a stock 944, a standalone efi, a big turbo, and some big injectors, I'd give you 450whp reliably. It's not the greatest daily driver thanks to the lag, but when that boost hits, look out!

Yeah, water injection is probably 6 months away... just want to drive it in one piece for a while!
EDIT: The 60-1 is a Turbonetics unit. I could never afford a Greddy turbo. Even if I had a zillion dollars I would not buy one out of principle.
Jay, thats encouraging new! Low 12's is quick. My friends modded EVO is running low 12's and I would love to whop him and make him spend more money on it.
