Tial 46mm atmosphere dump

I realize this isn't much help, but I ran an open setup with a 46mm Tial for quite a few years. I bought it complete with the adapters and dump pipe, so can't offer much advice as to where you can source those parts. I sold the WG when I went to an LS swap. I might have some of those parts hanging around somewhere, because I am fairly certain I sold the WG by itself. That was a few years ago though, so if I do have them, they are likely hiding in a box somewhere.

Checked my emails, it seems the adapters were sold with the WG, so no help there. You can see the damage to the top of the one I had, that was where it was contacting the torque tube, so something to look out for. There isn't a ton of room in there and the 46mm unit is relatively tall. IIRC, there are two versions of the 46mm as well. Mine was a narrow body which was reportedly specifically designed for the 930/965. Anyway, they are great pieces with good support as far as replacement parts and springs go.

Hey thanks for posting. I have the adapter plate/gasket and a spare factory WG to Cat tie in. I'm going to replicate the custom SFR design, cut the factory pipe add turndown. My car came with the Tial 46 and custom SFR adapter WG to cat tie in pipe. I'm not touching that so I can simply swap it in if/when screamer pipe becomes annoying. LOL What was your set-up and how did it sound?

I had stock headers and the LR 3" exhaust that did not have the tie in for the WG. Unfortunately, I can't find any of the clips I used to have. This one is pretty close though. It gives a pretty good representation of the sound, but it doesn't really indicate just how much louder it is when it opens if that makes sense. When the WG is open, you're basically dumping straight off the headers, so it is loud.
It is kind of shocking, and yes people will stare (as you fly by). And it sounds ridiculous in a tunnel or going under an overpass, but I guess that is kind of the point, was for me anyway : ) I can see how someone might get tired of it though. Having the ability to tie it back in would be really nice.

I've listened to that video multiple times! One last question did you have a dump pipe w/turndown, if so was it the same diameter as the WG flange or straight from gate?

I had a turndown pipe and the exit was pointed straight at the ground when everything was assembled. The dump pipe diameter was roughly the same size as the exit from the WG.
