Question Fault code 3-3; Need new KLR

ok... no joy on any replies to my cry for help... improvised a fault code light using an ohm-meter. got the 3-3 code - Replace the KLR.

I'm a bit confused as it seemed to be working before I took off the intake and redid the vac lines.

1 - could this be caused by a vacuum leak somewhere?

2 - is there anyone in dallas (or elsewhere) that has a KLR available that fits into an '86 turbo?

3 - is the 'not returning to idle' a symptom of a bad KLR?

I'd like to just try someone else's to see if another unit would make it work. then I'll go drop some beans on a new one and get a full time replacement.

TIA
Ian

I will have a dme from my new parts car late next week, so if you need a new one just ask.

Mark, I might take you up on that. I'm not entirely sure I'll need it, but can I get dibs on it for now?

Ends up that the fault codes went like this after I checked again:

3-3
3-3
3-3
3-3
4-1
3-3
3-3
3-3
3-3
3-3
4-1

so I unhooked all of the TPS wires, took an old toothbrush to both sides, and sure enough... it all works now.

I was under the impression that it would do one code then the other; which is why I missed it the first time.

So thanks, but no thanks on the replacement DME/KLR. might get some chips though... hmmm.
