For comparisson of old 044 and 044 replacement from bosch. Diameter of pump is skinnier, its shorter and much quieter. Used an AN fitting from gas tank to an 120 degree swivel. Bought a new tank filter, popped it off carefuly and popped it in AN gas tank fitting. Comes with new terminal connectors ttoo as they changed the size with new one.
Anyone know where to find or make the fuel strainer with using AN male fitting shown in black above?
I cannot find any supplier after an extensive Google search. My thought is that it is either a custom one-off or a modified unit for racing or another make.
I definitely would like to go AN as much as possible.
I have it and its pretty quiet. Flows well too. How well you might ask, enough to be side to side with a 2019 Acura NSX with 15 lbs boost in third gear.
I think the 0580464200p/n is now 0580464201, which I've been using since it's a successor of the Bosch Motorsports FP165. Attached is a pdf I found documenting some of the differences.
Also, for everyone else: I noticed that tank-to-AN fitting is now available at least two places:
Pick your fave, I guess. The RMR one is -10, Turboboof doesn't document theirs, but it looks proportionally the same. Bit annoying, since I used -8 for everything back there, but what's a few more dozen $ in fittings
Edit: wow, that 120 deg AN-AN coupler is uncommon.
