I have an ordinary LR valve, currently going to atm. It was actually loud before I did that. I am going to weld in a tial on a new IC pipe. Sounds fine as it only makes significant noise on boost, well cars make more noise when going fast, its just the whole vibe of the thing.

from what I understand the bov makes you run rich every time you shift and every time you vent to atm

...and will run even richer if it's vented.

metered air is let out of the system, that will always make things richer than if it had not been let out.

I noticed no difference on my A/F meter between stock and venting.
Anyone want to buy the one I have? Only ran it 1 week.

I am running a MAP based system, no difference between vented and non in terms of A/F. Always on the rich side (around 12:1)

I've got a Stratmosphere DV and I never heard it with the stock J boot. I aded the MAF and while the turbo spooling up sounds great, the DV whooshing between shifts is gonna get old quick............

With a MAP based system you can vent to ATM with no ill effects.

awilson, the reason you saw no difference is that you are not running a WB02. There is definetly a difference that many have documented. Is it enough to kill the car? Probably not.

dme, if you are hearing that noise the DV is no good. A new factory one can be had for about 30 bucks IIRC, or you can never replace it again and get a stratmosphere for about 115.

I've got the turboxs h25.

http://www.turboxs.com/rbv_h25.htm

It's a bit noisy, and if I had my way, I'd re-route the recirculation vent to hit the compressor vanes directly so as to not lose any air out of the MAF intake.

Huh? Why would routing it closer to the compressor affect anything at all? The compressor is going to suck in as much as as it can no matter where you introduce it.
