Default I blew my hose early

WTF? 3000 miles and only a max of 15psig or approximately 2 BAR absolute or 1500 Torr Or 59in Mercury or 200kpa or 1.97 atm and this happens?

Porsche quality is not what it used to be! Anyway I went to the local O’Reilly and picked up a radiator hose for $20 and was still able to make the Malibu Country Mart car show today. Whew!

My next endeavor is to find a suitable permanent fix for this hose. How does the LR silicone turbo to IC pipe hose fit? Any issues? I don’t think I’m going to chance using the OEM hose at That location again.

Thanks
Mike G.

Was it Porsche or was it OEM?

I had an issue with URO .. IC to Hard pipe connectors. About 5 track days and blew it open .. and of course it was a bucket handle type tear that you could not see but acted as a flapper valve and pushed open on boost.. feel your pain..

Much as I like suppliers like Pelican ftw buy genuine parts from one of the Porsche dealerships who sell online like Sunset, Sonnen, Gaudin, etc., prices are cheaper too

I'm guessing it's Genuine. A lot of times with Pelican I get the part next day and there is no shipping cost for purchases over $100, which is guaranteed to happed 100% of the time. haha

Free shipping is great, but that part is $20 cheaper direct from those dealerships I mentioned, eg: Gaudin Porsche in LV, and I doubt it costs $20 to ship.

Still I would ask Pelican if they honor the Porsche warranty on the genuine parts they sell.

….and yes I agree that should not happen especially on a genuine part, bad QC.

Shipping is $11.96 but they had the best price compared to all the other places I purchase from regularly. I'll have to check them out more often. BTW why does that damn hose cost $100 when an almost identical hose for a FORD, Toyota...... blah blah is only $20?
