Why do you think it is too small? Are you running a twin turbo setup? Are you going to run low boost?

Too small wastegate, you will boost too much..
Too large wastegate, your boost controller/wastegate could be "dithering."

I'm a little confused about the spring rates on the wastegates. My wastegate is on its way out (boost drops to 9psi in third gear), but my car is totally stock -no chips. So, what spring rate do I ask for when I order my wastgate from Tim?

I plan to get the guru chip set in a few months...does that mean I have to change my spring rates again on the wastgate?

you want a spring rate of the ABSOLUTE LOWEST you will ever run boost.
If you get a .8 spring rate (stock) no matter what you will not be able to run lower boost than the 11.5 psi (.8 bar). However you can always run more with a bosst controller.

They're at SpeedForceRacing.com but for the GB I'd call and order.

I am hoping to find another 30bhp as i am only pulling about 12psi at 5000+rpm if ican hold 18 to that then i should gain about 30bhp, given the restrictions of the intake etc, i doubt i will get any more then that.

I am hoping to use my Accuboost controler on it, not sure if that will work yet..

I am going to be in for one for sure and maybe two. I will call Tim!

I run the 46mm on my car now and I love it. I convinced Robert(white turbo cobra) that the 38mm would work well on his car since he is running low boost. I also have another friend that is turbocharging his type r so he might want one as well. Peace.

What is the difference in running a 46mm compared to the 38mm one?

I just ordered the Guru WG. Am I missing out on something by not going with the Tial?

I don't think TiAl do a 35mm one - I think there's either a mistake or a difference in measuring standard on the SFR website. Check http://www.tialsport.com/wastegates.htm

As stated above you are actually better with a smaller one is most situations. Although I have a 46mm I would buy the 38mm today, knowing what I know now.
