Default Oil Cooler Housing

Prepping for reassembly. I knew this existed when I started pulling everything apart but now time to act.

As seen below, one mounting ear is broken on the cooler adaptor - my guess is from previous over tightening. Obviously the break goes right through the seal area.

I would not imagine there is a great deal of torsional stress at this spot, so is it ok to jb weld and press on? Better to replace?

Salvage parts appear to be $200 to $250 on fleabay. I think I'd replace.

JB weld is only good for broken crankshafts.

Replace!

And make sure the small connector pipe is installed correctly if it is the early asymmetrical version, see this post for details:
