Default Oil in 1st Spark Plug Hole?

When I replaced my spark plugs I noticed some oil in the 1st plug closest
to the front of the motor. Sloppy work from a previous repair or is it
leaking from somewhere?

The oil is on the plug or in the hole it sits in?

If in the hole, the way to find out is to clean it out with a paper towel and see if it comes back.

I noticed coolant around the plug wire boot on that cylinder. I was shocked until I realized that it was from the last time I bled the cooling system. The coolant got under the boot and stayed there.

It was around the plug, not in the cylinder, I did wipe it as clean
as I could and put the new plugs in. I then took it off the road
for the winter so I'll have to drive it some so se it it comes back.
Assuming it does what could be the cause, the other 3 were
completely dry.

Was the plug slightly looser than normal, when you removed it, or was it on tight?

Could be a gasket leak.

I had same problem when I bought car the 1st thing I did was replace plugs and 1st plug was oiled, PO had cross threaded plug and it wouldnt seat properly. After some patience I was able to to get plug seated and it has not yet re-appear. I am not saying this could be problem, maybe a fluk, but I have pulled plug 3- times to check and I am dry. Good luck, Scott.

I don't recall if it was any loser than normal when I took it out.
I'll keep an eye on it and repost if it returns.
