Default Engine Rebuild (Did Search)

Hi guys-
My engine is almost out... now it is time to start thinking about what I need to order and the best place to order. After searching I found I need the following:

Gasket sets - Head, Block, and Balance Shafts
Bearing sets - Rod and Main
Pinion Bearing
Clutch Components (if replacing)
Std Pistion Rings
Turbo O rings
Oil line crush rings
Belts
Yamabond and close knit roller
Swepco Moly Lube
Various metric nuts and bolts

Here's what vertex will give me for $575:
1 Piston Ring Set
1 Timing Belt
1 Balance Shaft Belt
4 Intake Valve Guides
4 Exhaust Valve Guides
1 Head Gasket Set
1 Case Gasket Set
1 Main Bearing Set
1 Rod Bearing Set
8 Connecting Rod Nuts
1 Front Seal Kit

Where is the best place for a complete kit?
What other things should I replace? Reference sensors? Temp sensors?
What types of things should I be looking at from the aftermarket? I heard of raceware studs? Different headgasket?

Basically I want to rebuild the engine for about $2500... and if I can, add some performance parts. I want to do as much work myself as I can. I only intend to have the engine rebuilder do machine work and balancing, port and polish, and rebuild head. I really am not looking to go bigger with the engine, but if the scoring is bad, I may have to right?

Thanks,

http://www.eden.rutgers.edu/~adrialk...ld/rebuild.xls

Sheet 2 is the list I'm putting together (and am almost done with) for all nuts/bolts/most washers. Sheet 3 is obviously prices for ceramic coatings...

spreadsheet is still a work in progress, I'm missing prices for a few things and it just needs to be cleaned up.

EBS has the most comprehensive rebuild-kit I've seen.

I got all my rebuild parts from EBS. They sent some wrong parts but they were cheap and I didnt want to deal with many different suppliers, they had it all (and some parts I didnt order lol).

Thanks guys... I will check those places.

This is my first rebuild and want to do it right. Any hints/tips that you could tell me so I won't have any regrets later?

Now I just have to talk to TEC and let them know the outcome of their lovely leaky turbo. Only 100 miles down the road and I spin a bearing. Jim's last words "Oh yeah water in the oil... that happens all the time. You will have NO problems!" Right...

Some tips are in here, once you get past page 1 or 2....

Nothing really sticks out in my mind...just take it slow and bag/label EVERYTHING.
